Why is muck diving in Bali so special?
It’s one of the one places in the world where such a huge variety of critters are concentrated in a few dive sites. Nudi lovers can see Shaun the Sheep, Pikachu and Donut nudibranchs all in one dive!
Typically, we do long, shallow dives over sandy bottom or rocks with some sporadic coral. Nitrox is recommended for those with certification. It’s great to combine with an overnight safari so you can relax in the afternoon or enjoy a night dive.
Bali is world famous for its macro sea life and a haven for underwater photographers. If small stuff is your thing, these are the dive sites for you. There are many shore diving sites in northeast Bali such as Seraya and Sidem, Batu Niti, Melasti (Amed and Tulamben), all of which offer incredible muck diving. Let us know what you’d like to see, as many critters are territorial so can be only seen at certain dive sites.
